What Makes Our Magnets Stand Out From Others
How our
products differ from Nikken
We have manufactured our
magnets since 1991 with the north polarity of the magnets
facing the body, which all research points to as being the
best for long term results. Nikken has always alternated every
other magnet north and then south.
Recently, Nikken made the change to having north pole magnets
(in the mattress pads and cushions only) and we have heard
their reason was because they have come to the conclusion that
north pole is best for mattress pads and cushions and now
manufacture the same as we do with all of the magnets facing
north into the body. Any of these kinds of products from us or
any products from them that have been manufactured since about
2000 will have north pole to your body.
Now you ask what makes ours better. It has also been
documented by many experts that a solid constant north pole
field is tremendously more effective (and safer) than a
cushion that has the magnets placed in the cushion but not
closely enough to create a solid magnetic field. For example:
Our Silver Series seat cushion has 144 magnets in it. The
magnets themselves are about the same size and strength
(within 5%) of the Nikken pad but they use about 1/3 as many
magnets. We have found our technology to be much more
effective. The hidden problem with not using enough magnets is
that the magnetic poles are always seeking each other. So, if
spacing and magnetic content is too low then the south pole is
wrapping around seeking the north pole and you end up with
both poles entering your body which much research and now
Nikken, as discussed above, has now said is not good. The 144
magnets is the minimum needed to prevent this problem from
occurring and create a solid north pole field. Ours does this,
Nikken's does not.
How our mattress pads compare
to those of Purity Products
Their magnets are "domino-sized, 3,950-gauss, magnetic
north, negative north," and the number of magnets in each
pad is similar to LYON LEGACY Products. Their pads weigh from
20 to 30 pounds.
We looked at the Purity website and also contacted them about
this. They said the magnet is the size of a domino but about
1/3 as thick. The thickness, as you know, is where the
penetration comes from. The tricky part and why it is easy to
be misled is that our magnets are also 3,950 gauss. The
thickness however is what affects penetration into your body.
The thicker a magnet is, the further the magnetic field it
has. The further the field, the more effective the product for
your body. To further show the point about the magnetic
content of our Gold Series Mattress Pads, the weight of our
pads are as follows:
Twin: 38 pounds 270 magnets
Full: 60 pounds 405 magnets
Queen: 66 pounds 432 magnets
King: 75 pounds 540 magnets
